Sketches

Sketches is an ongoing series of monochrome figurative sculptures conceived as independent works. Each begins with a familiar human situation, but leaves its meaning unresolved.

By removing colour, the sculptures bring weight, touch and posture to the foreground. The figures and objects are recognisable, while the relationships between them remain uncertain. What seems clear at first can shift with a second look.
